Forest Oaks: Cedar Park, TX

Forest Oaks is one of Cedar Parks  most family friendly communities.   While driving through you cant help but find Forest Oaks a great place to live.  I was surprised to see just how pleasant the residents are and even your fellow drivers waved as you would pass by.   If the community isn’t convincing all to its own, people of Forest Oaks definitely are.

Driving through the Forest Oaks you can find a perfect 3 bedroom starter home, all the way to beautiful 5000 plus square foot custom built homes.   I stopped by some of the model homes to see the wide variety of floor plans and amenities the builders have to offer. and was amazed by the choices.  On a laz Sunday, you should make  pass by and see for yourself.

What I like most about Forest Oaks is that its convenient to most everything.  Within 5 minutes drive you will find a Wal-mart,  Super Target, multiple grocery stores, abundant retail shopping and so much more.   Within 8 minutes you will be on the shore of near by Lake Travis sunbathing with your toes in the sand.

Things that you will find in this community include:

- Parks

- A Junior Olympic Pool

- Sports Court

- Play Scapes

and so  much more…

Austin’s Metrorail

Cedar Park/Leander, look like we have to be just a little patient.  Capital Metro Commuter train service may not be in on track for its 2008 unveiling,  no pun intended.   even with gas prices dropping, which brings an ear to ear grin to my face, the convenience of a straight shot downtown is someting I look forward to.   Looks like whats holding Capital Metro back is that they have delayed the opening of 2 of the 9 stations.   Soon we will all be able to do our part in keeping our skies blue, but not until according to best estimates,  march of 2009.   I can’t wait for that day to come, Cedar Park and Leander are getting closer to downtown everyday.

As things currently stand, commuter “1″ way fair  will be a mere $1 for zone 1 and $1.50 for zone 2.  There will be sever different options for week and month “passes”.    I wonder how much they would charge me do get in the conducters seat….

Cedar Park is Growing…

Why are Cedar Park values still on the rise, probably because its one of the fastest growing suburbs in the US according to Forbes. In 2007 Cedar Park was said to be the 11th fastest growing suburb in the nation. Back in the 90′s Cedar Parks population was at about 5k compared to the over 40k its at now. Just take a quick drive up Cyprus Creek, let alone HWY 1431 and you will see all the construction going on.

Im finding that I rarely have to leave Cedar Park and with these gas prices it’s convenient.  Cedar Park recently got its own theater and a host of other shops and stores for our convenience.  Everything is at arms reach whether its choosing from over 5 grocery stores to gourmet coffee shops.  When I do decide to go into Austin  I just hope on hwy 183s, the toll road is entirely too convienent.  Personally, I think Cedar Park is Austins best suburb…
