Austin’s Metrorail

Cedar Park/Leander, look like we have to be just a little patient.  Capital Metro Commuter train service may not be in on track for its 2008 unveiling,  no pun intended.   even with gas prices dropping, which brings an ear to ear grin to my face, the convenience of a straight shot downtown is someting I look forward to.   Looks like whats holding Capital Metro back is that they have delayed the opening of 2 of the 9 stations.   Soon we will all be able to do our part in keeping our skies blue, but not until according to best estimates,  march of 2009.   I can’t wait for that day to come, Cedar Park and Leander are getting closer to downtown everyday.

As things currently stand, commuter “1″ way fair  will be a mere $1 for zone 1 and $1.50 for zone 2.  There will be sever different options for week and month “passes”.    I wonder how much they would charge me do get in the conducters seat….

Cedar Park Slip and Slide…

I couldn’t envision the rapid change and growth which has come and and still is coming to Williamson county.  Once again the good news comes to the Cedar Park area.  Although initial plans estimated a  summer 2008 opening, it looks like Cedar Park is moving forward to being home of its own water park.

Cedar Parks soon to be wettest and wildest attraction will sit on 20 acres, just east of hwy 1431 and Parmer.   The park will consist of water slides, lazy river and more.   With an overall nature theme, visitors will be able to stay in Tree houses designed to mesh with the outdoor theme.

What does this mean?   Cedar Park is on its way to having its own water park, more jobs, and another way to cool off in the Texas heat.   If all goes well, Im going to be a beach bum, well water park rat before I know it.
